Practice for the conversations the job needs.
Many people in care understand more Swedish than they dare to say. Kompis is a private place to practise everyday work conversations, by voice, before they happen for real.
What staff practise
- Asking a colleague to repeat or explain
- Checking you have understood an instruction
- Taking part in a team check in
- A general structure for a handover
- Preparing a conversation with your manager
- Small talk with residents and relatives
Non clinical situations only. Kompis does not teach medication, clinical decisions or emergency communication.
How it works
- 1Practise the real conversation.
- 2Speak with your voice.
- 3Kompis follows up afterwards.
Transcripts and English help when needed.
What you see, and what you never see
You see
The number of active users, the number of practice conversations and which situations are practised, only at group level.
You never see
Individual conversations, recordings, transcripts, memories or mistakes.
About the language requirement in elder care
From 1 July 2026, elder care providers must work to ensure that staff who carry out care have knowledge of Swedish relevant to that care (prop. 2025/26:93). Kompis supports daily speaking practice alongside your existing training, supervision and language support. Kompis does not assess or certify language skills and does not show that the requirement is met.
