Is Kompis a Swedish course?+
No. There is no curriculum, no levels and no grades. Kompis is a private place to say things out loud before, during and after the conversations that matter to you. You bring the situation, Kompis helps you rehearse it.
What if I get stuck and use English?+
That is fine and it happens to everyone. You can speak Swedish, English or a mix in the same sentence. Kompis answers in warm, natural Swedish and models the phrase you were reaching for, without a red pen.
Is it for beginners?+
It works best once you understand more Swedish than you dare to say, which is where most people are after some months here. Complete beginners get more out of a course first, and we will say so honestly.
How do I get access?+
Kompis is invite-only while we open gradually. Request an invite on the For individuals page.
Does Kompis remember what I say?+
Yes, so it can follow up, for example asking how your interview went. You can see, edit, pause or delete everything it remembers.
Can my employer see my conversations?+
No. Employers only see group totals, never individual conversations, recordings or mistakes.
Does Kompis store my voice?+
No. Your voice is turned into text and the audio is not stored.
Is Kompis a replacement for SFI?+
No. Kompis is a place to practise speaking alongside SFI, teachers and work.
